OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On August 3, 2025, Muncie Police responded to a domestic disturbance at the 400 block of West 7th Street. Officers encountered Jesse Lee Robinson, who was armed and refused to comply with repeated verbal commands. Officers identified an imminent threat and opened fire. Robinson was transported to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Indiana State Police are conducting an independent investigation. The Delaware County Coroner officially confirmed Robinson’s identity.
