OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Police went to the Park Inn by Radisson on the 3300 block of New Castle Road to serve an arrest warrant for Tyrell Silas Askerneese. He was armed and refused to surrender. The Mercer County Crisis Intervention Response Team was called to assist. After a multi-hour standoff, officers opened fire, killing him. The Pennsylvania State Police are conducting the investigation.
