OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Around 4:30 a.m., Centerville and Warner Robins police responded to the parking lot of the Houston County Galleria. A man was inside a semi-truck armed with a gun. Gunfire was exchanged, and a Warner Robins police officer was shot and injured. A standoff followed, ending at approximately 6:20 a.m. when police entered the truck and found the man dead. It is unclear whether his fatal wound was self-inflicted or from police gunfire. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent investigation.
