OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a deceased woman inside a Southeast Portland home. Upon arrival, they found a man barricaded inside, possibly armed. Tactical and crisis negotiation teams were deployed. After breaching the front door, officers discovered the woman—identified as 21-year-old Kimberly Venegas-Gonzalez—deceased from a gunshot wound. After several hours, the man surrendered and was taken into custody; a firearm was recovered at the scene. The Portland Police Bureau's Homicide Unit is handling the investigation.
