OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 08/13/2023, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a residence in the 9000 block of Palmas Altas Street after a teenage girl found 39-year-old Kristina Vladislavich dead from an apparent gunshot wound inside the home. Homicide detectives opened a murder investigation and identified 40-year-old Charles Anthony Falsetta Jr., who had been in a long-term relationship with Vladislavich, as the person responsible for the killing. Police publicly identified Falsetta, distributed his photograph, warned that he was armed and dangerous, and began actively searching for him.
On 08/15/2023, while the homicide investigation was ongoing and officers were attempting to locate him, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers found Falsetta suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He died at the scene. Police did not publicly disclose the exact location where officers found him or the circumstances immediately preceding the discovery. Investigators concluded that he had died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Because Falsetta died while police were actively attempting to locate and arrest him for homicide, this case falls within the category of a suicide occurring under immediate police pressure. Publicly available records do not indicate that officers fired their weapons, used force against Falsetta, or physically confronted him before his death.
The Clark County Coroner ruled Kristina Vladislavich's death a homicide. Public records reviewed through August 2026 do not indicate that any civil lawsuit, wrongful-death settlement, or judgment resulted from Falsetta's death. No body-camera footage, surveillance video, or other publicly released recordings documenting the discovery of Falsetta were located. Police did not identify any individual officers involved in locating him, making a review of officer histories impossible in this case.
