On 08/21/2025, Greenville Police responded to a reported fraud incident at the Bank of Travelers Rest on Verdae Boulevard. As officers arrived, the man fled on foot. During the chase, he produced a firearm and fatally shot himself in the bank parking lot. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office confirmed the death.
