On 09/04/2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., the Navajo Police Department responded to reports of a vehicle fire outside a home in Blue Gap. Officers encountered a 40-year-old man who became confrontational and pointed a homemade weapon at an officer. Police opened fire, killing him at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
