OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 09/07/2025, Fayetteville police responded to reports of gunfire at an apartment complex on the 300 block of North Garnet Court. Officers attempted to make contact with the occupants when Brandon Poulter, 42, opened fire, striking an armored police vehicle. Officers returned fire, fatally shooting him. Poulter was found dead inside the apartment. No officers were injured. The Arkansas State Police are conducting an investigation, and findings will be forwarded to the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office.
