OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On the evening of 09/07/2025, deputies from the Boone County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 200 block of Railroad Street in Harrisburg for a domestic disturbance involving a weapon. Witnesses reported that the individual, later identified as Ty B. Lewis, was displaying a firearm in a threatening manner. Deputies arrived on scene just after 9:00 p.m., issued commands, which he allegedly ignored, and moved toward the deputies. Officers then fired, fatally striking Lewis. No deputies were injured. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
