Stockton police conducted a "proactive enforcement" stop at Doray Court and Pixie Drive after 6 p.m. on September 10, 2025. Officers found 19-year-old Rocco Robinson sitting in a double-parked vehicle. Robinson ignored commands, resisted detention, and broke free. During a foot chase, he allegedly tried to grab a handgun. Officers opened fire and shot him. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. At the scene, police reported recovering a ghost gun with one round chambered and two high-capacity magazines. The incident is under investigation, and involved officers were placed on administrative leave.
