On September 8, 2025, deputies responded to 535 Bridgeford Lane in Moore, South Carolina. A woman armed with a large kitchen knife walked toward a deputy despite repeated commands to drop the weapon. The deputy shot her, and she was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center for treatment. The deputy was not injured and was placed on administrative leave. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is conducting the investigation.
