OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Around 1 p.m., Yuba City police responded to a domestic violence call on Rickey Drive. The driver, Marco Hernandez-Mora, fled the scene. About 30 minutes later, a Sutter County deputy saw him driving erratically on Franklin Road. Police escalated a chase during which Hernandez-Mora crossed into oncoming lanes, hit another vehicle, and crashed into a tree. A Latino male passenger in the back seat was found unresponsive and died at the scene. Hernandez-Mora ran from the wreck but was captured nearby on Hunji Drive.
