OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
At about 5:30 a.m., deputies from the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home at 98 Main St in Hartland. Officers announced their presence, entered, and encountered Isaac Robinson in his bedroom. Robinson was armed with a knife, and when he advanced toward the deputies after being ordered to drop the weapon, Deputy William Crawford and Detective Michael Lyman shot him. Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene. The Maine Attorney General’s Office will investigate the use of deadly force. The two officers have been placed on administrative leave.
