Around noon on 09/08/2025, Phoenix officers responded to reports of an armed robbery near 35th Avenue and Fillmore Street. Officers located the reported vehicle and conducted a high-risk stop in a dirt lot at 3500 West Washington Street. During an approximately 11-minute standoff, police state that Ote-Tee Brooks Nalwood pointed a handgun at officers; officers opened fire, striking him.
