On 09/13/2025, St. Louis police responded to a suspicious person call in the 3600 block of South Grand Boulevard. When officers arrived, a male in his 20s pulled out what appeared to be a firearm. Two officers opened fire, killing him at the scene. The weapon was later determined to be a CO₂-powered air pistol.
