On 09/16/2025, Metropolitan Police officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the Palisades neighborhood of Northwest Washington, D.C. The man had left earlier and later returned armed with two knives. Officers ordered him to drop the weapons and deployed tasers, but he ignored commands and charged at them. Officers opened fire, killing him on the scene.
