On 09/16/2025, deputies with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office attempted a traffic stop. The driver refused to stop, and deputies escalated a pursuit. The vehicle later crashed in Coffee County. One person was killed, and another was transported to Coffee Regional Medical Center for treatment. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.
