On 09/13/2025, Rochester police responded to a menacing report at a Sunoco gas station on West Main Street where 44-year-old Queen Dior allegedly pointed a gun at another person. Police attempted to stop a white SUV, but Dior refused to stop. Police escalated a chase through downtown Rochester. The pursuit ended in a multi-vehicle crash at East Main Street and Franklin Street near the Liberty Pole when Dior’s SUV rear-ended vehicles at a red light, causing a chain reaction that involved multiple cars, including a city security vehicle. Dior was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital in critical condition and later died from injuries. Two others sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The New York State Attorney General’s Office is investigating.
