On 09/19/2025, a Texas DPS trooper conducted a traffic stop on Huffman-Cleveland Road near FM 2100 for expired registration. Police said the man was found to have multiple warrants. He refused to exit his vehicle and fled from the stop. During the chase, he pulled out a gun and shot himself. He was transported to a hospital in Kingwood, where he was later pronounced dead.
