OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 09/25/2025 at approximately 9:55 a.m., Alaska State Troopers attempted to serve a felony warrant on Tyler Moyer at Stariski Campground in Anchor Point. Moyer fled from his vehicle on foot while carrying a knife. A trooper opened fire, killing him at the scene. A female passenger attempted self-harm and was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The Alaska Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent investigation.
