OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 09/25/2025, Summit County deputies responded to a reported family dispute at a residence on South Main Street in Coalville. A man barricaded himself inside and refused to come out. SWAT units and negotiators were deployed, and attempts were made to communicate for several hours. A drone was later sent into the home, where the man was observed with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Tactical officers confirmed his death.
