OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 09/25/2025, at approximately 11:42 a.m., a Georgia State Patrol trooper attempted a traffic stop on a black Honda Civic for a window tint violation. The driver refused to stop and police escalated a chase along Cobb Parkway near Truist Park. Traffic forced the vehicle to slow, and a trooper blocked it from the front. As troopers approached, the driver produced a gun and fatally shot himself. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent investigation.
