OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Houston police responded around 8:00 a.m. to reports of gunfire at a home on the 5800 block of Hartwick Road. Officers said a man was firing an AK-47 in his backyard and ignored commands to drop the weapon. Two officers opened fire, striking him multiple times. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No officers were injured.
