Clark was being questioned at the Iberville Parish Courthouse in connection with a sex crimes investigation when he attempted to disarm a detective. A struggle broke out, and multiple shots were fired. Clark and Deputy Charles Riley were killed, while Capt. Brett Stassi Jr. was critically injured. The Louisiana State Police are conducting an independent investigation.
