On 10/08/2025, deputies from the Love County Sheriff’s Office attempted to locate a vehicle driven by a woman believed to be armed. Police escalated a chase north into Murray County, where the vehicle eventually stopped along U.S. Highway 77. When deputies approached, the woman was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
