On 10/08/2025, police investigated a series of connected shootings in Sugar Land and Houston. A woman was found shot to death in a vehicle in Sugar Land, and two more people were killed at a Houston mechanic shop. Police later found the 42-year-old shooter dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside a vehicle on Creekbend Drive.
