On 10/11/2025, Phoenix Police responded to reports of a fight at an apartment complex near 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road. Officers encountered a man allegedly holding a woman with a large knife pressed to her throat. Police ordered him to drop the weapon. When he did not comply, officers opened fire, killing him. The woman was rescued unharmed. The investigation is ongoing.
