On 10/12/2025, officers from multiple agencies arrived at a home on the 100 block of West Caldwell Street in Paris, Missouri, to contact 57-year-old Charles W. Armour in connection with a homicide investigation in Ralls County. During the encounter, Armour fired at officers, injuring a Randolph County deputy. Officers returned fire. When a SWAT team entered the residence, Armour was found dead.
