On November 11, 2021, around 5:55 a.m., a New Jersey State Police vehicle struck and killed 50-year-old Donelle Miles of Plainsboro on southbound U.S. Route 1 near Raymond Road in South Brunswick. The trooper was driving a marked patrol vehicle when the collision occurred. Miles was pronounced dead at the scene. The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office investigated the crash, which remains one of several fatal traffic incidents involving law enforcement in the area.
