OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On October 21, 2025, officers with the East Windsor Township Police Department responded to a report of a break-in at an abandoned home on the 300 block of Etra Road. Police confronted a man inside the residence, and the situation escalated. Officers opened fire, striking the man. He was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he later died. The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office is conducting an independent investigation.
