OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On October 22, 2025, officers with the Findlay Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at a residence on the 1600 block of Cherry Lane. When police knocked on the door, a man opened it and pointed a firearm at officers. Police opened fire, striking him multiple times. He was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is conducting an independent investigation.
