OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On October 20, 2025, officers from the Marshall Police Department responded around 6 a.m. to a report of an armed individual at a residence on North Lyon Street. The person had barricaded themselves in the basement and fired several shots. Police established a perimeter and deployed gas after attempts to negotiate failed. Officers later entered the residence and found the individual dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
