On 09/20/2025, a man driving a white Mercedes-Benz entered the Peace Arch Port of Entry in Blaine, Washington, traveling the wrong way and crashing into a curb before running toward inspection lanes. Officers reported seeing a gun fall from his waistband as they ordered him to the ground. He was restrained and placed in a wheelchair but soon became unresponsive. Emergency personnel arrived at 10:42 p.m., and he was pronounced dead at 11:11 p.m. A preliminary report cited an arterial blockage, and the Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General is investigating.
