On October 31, 2025, a man reportedly attempted to rob a smoke shop on North Germantown Parkway in Cordova, Tennessee. He allegedly fired at a woman inside the store and then engaged officers responding from a nearby lunch break location. Law-enforcement officers shot the man, who died at the scene. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is handling the investigation; no agency name has yet been released.
