On 11/04/2025, a pursuit by the Clayton County Police Department ended in a fatal crash on Interstate 75 near Exit 228 in Jonesboro. Officers attempted a PIT maneuver to stop a vehicle driven by Moshe Ben Y. Israel Williams. After the maneuver, Williams exited the car and ran into traffic, where he was struck by another vehicle and killed at the scene. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent investigation.
