On 11/06/2025, agents with the U.S. Marshals Service Violent Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team were serving an arrest warrant for a “violent fugitive” in the area of 3800 South & 5600 West in West Valley City. The male suspect exited the residence armed with a handgun and attempted to flee. Marshals opened fire and the suspect was shot and later pronounced dead. No officers were injured.
