On 11/07/2025, Crisp County deputies pursued a man reportedly wanted on active warrants near the area of Crisp County High School. The chase ended near the 1500 block of East 16th Avenue when the man exited his vehicle, fired at deputies, and police opened fire, killing him. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent investigation.
