On 11/06/2025, law-enforcement officers from the West Virginia State Police responded to a call regarding a shooting in the Rock Road area of Mercer County, West Virginia. Investigators found 80-year-old Randall Mabe with gunshot wounds lying in the roadway. The suspect, Frederick Mabe (72), his brother, barricaded himself inside a residence with a firearm.
