OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 11/14/2025, police escalated a chase involving Christopher Lindner at speeds reported to exceed 100 miles per hour, ending on Brush Creek Road on the Lindner family property in Manchester. After the chase ended, Lindner left his vehicle and entered a residence. Officers formed a perimeter and attempted to negotiate his surrender. After an extended period, Lindner exited the residence holding a firearm and officers opened fire and killed him at the scene. Multiple law enforcement agencies were present, but investigators have not released how many officers discharged weapons or how many rounds were fired. The incident originated when a caller reported being concerned for their safety. Lindner had a documented history of past violence including a 2019 case in which his then-wife photographed him pointing a handgun at her. That case was dismissed. Lindner was the son of Carl Lindner III who is widely known for owning the Cincinnati Reds and serving as co-CEO of American Financial Group.
