OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 11/22/2025, officers responded to a domestic disturbance call on Creekwood Drive in Greensboro. The man inside fired at officers prompting a shelter-in-place for neighbors. After negotiators released a juvenile from the home, police entered and found 62-year-old Paul Arthur Merchant and 38-year-old Alessandra Amador Merchant with gunshot wounds, both pronounced dead at the scene. Police say preliminary findings indicate a murder-suicide.
