On 12/01/2025 Los Angeles Police Department officers responded around 7:15 in the morning to a report of an assault involving a deadly weapon on the 800 block of South Vermont Avenue in Koreatown. Officers found a man using a piece of glass to stab himself. Police gave commands that were not followed. Police report that the man then threatened officers with the glass. Officers opened fire and killed him. No officers or civilians were reported injured. The investigation is ongoing.
