On 12/14/2025, St. Cloud police responded shortly before 3 a.m. to a call reporting a suspicious person at a car dealership along U.S. Highway 192. Officers located Deshay Brian Turner inside a vehicle on the property. During the encounter, officers attempted to take him into custody. The situation escalated under disputed circumstances, and officers opened fire. Turner was struck by gunfire and transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the shooting.
