On 12/13/2025, a multi-agency pursuit that began in Mustang and ended in Grady County involved the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. During the pursuit, a passenger reportedly fired at officers and troopers. The chase concluded on Silver City Ridge Road near Tuttle, where the passenger fled on foot and entered a residence. Troopers confronted the individual inside the home, opened fire, and the person was struck by gunfire and killed. The driver of the vehicle was injured and taken to a hospital for treatment. No law enforcement officers were reported injured. The troopers involved were placed on administrative leave and the incident is under investigation.
