OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 12/15/2025, Sweetwater police responded to a reported shoplifting at the Walgreens on the 900 block of South Main Street in Sweetwater. Officers located 30-year-old Justin Robinson nearby and attempted to detain him. Robinson fled on foot, and officers pursued him through the area surrounding the store.
During the encounter after the chase ended, officers stated that Robinson allegedly produced a knife and advanced toward them. No body-cam footage or publicly released video has been provided to verify the police account or independently confirm the claim regarding the knife.
