On 12/18/2025 police searching for Claudio Neves Valente, the man identified as the Brown University mass shooter and the killer of an MIT professor, converged on a storage facility in Salem, New Hampshire. During the active multi state manhunt he died by a self inflicted gunshot wound inside a rented storage unit. Authorities recovered weapons and evidence linking him to the Brown and MIT shootings and said he died by suicide while under pursuit.
