OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 12/17/2025 Corvallis Police and Benton County deputies responded to a residence on NW Sequoia Avenue where an armed man had barricaded himself. SWAT was deployed and officers attempted negotiation throughout the day. Police later entered the home and found the man dead from an apparent overdose. The standoff ended with no officers injured. The case remains under investigation.
