OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 12/20/2025 at about 1:12 a.m., Franklin County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about an intoxicated person reported to be suicidal at a residence on the 1100 block of Highway OO near Pacific in Franklin County, Missouri. Witnesses reported hearing a gunshot in the basement before deputies arrived. When deputies searched the property, an officer-involved shooting occurred and a 60-year-old man was fatally shot by law enforcement. No deputies were reported injured. The Missouri Division of Drug and Crime Control is investigating the shooting.
