On 12/22/2025, Phoenix police responded to reports of a woman found shot to death in a west Phoenix neighborhood early Monday morning. Officers later identified a man they said was responsible for the shooting. Police located the man hours later, and a standoff followed. During the standoff, the man died by suicide. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene earlier in the day. Police stated the investigation into both deaths remains ongoing.
