On 12/25/2025, Jordan Bossette, 33, was shot and killed by Beaumont police officers during an officer-involved shooting in south Beaumont. Police responded to reports of a disturbance involving a man with a gun and broken glass. When officers confronted Bossette, he charged at them with a handgun and officers fired, killing him at the scene. No officers were reported injured.
