OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 12/26/2025, Houston Police Department officers responded to a reported crash at the Cityscape Apartments near Almeda Genoa Road in southeast Houston. A caller reported a man involved in the crash who was standing in the parking lot and pointing a firearm. When officers arrived, they encountered the man near a vehicle. Police reported that officers gave commands and then opened fire, striking him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Multiple weapons were later reported inside the vehicle. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation by the Houston Police Department special investigations unit and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
